The First Nation Coast Salish people live the areas from Tacoma, Wa in the South to Victoria, BC, Nanaimo, BC, and Campbell River in the North, and the Georgia Basin and Vancouver, BC in the East. They unfairly were displaced in 1948 by an artificial boundary created between the USA and Canada. Currently the Coast Salish tribe’s goal is to restore, preserve, and protect the environment and land in their homelands.
